Nenggiri Polls: Mohamad Urges Voters To Choose A Rep Who Can Solve Their Problems

GUA MUSANG, UMNO deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has reminded voters in Nenggiri to elect an assemblyman who can help to solve their problems.

He said they need an assemblyman who could effectively raise their problems in the Kelantan State Assembly because most of the issues facing them are under the jurisdiction of the state government.

‘I heard that there are many problems in Nenggiri, especially land issues in RKT Kesedar (South Kelantan Development Authority) and the delay in getting grants.

‘Assemblymen can raise this issue in the state assembly because land is a state matter. We need to tell the state government and also Kesedar to ensure Kesedar participants are given the grants as they have been waiting for almost 40 years,’ he said.

He was speaking to reporters after meeting villagers of Kampung Limau Kasturi here today on the last day of campaigning for the Nenggiri state by-election.

Mohamad hopes that such issues will be prioritised by Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Mohd Azmawi F
ikri Abdul Ghani, known as Awie, if he is elected as the new Nenggiri assemblyman.

“I am confident that Awie can win tomorrow and that he knows what needs to be done and can adapt to become an effective representative,” he said.

The by-election is a straight fight between Mohd Azmawi Fikri, who is representing the Unity Government, and PAS candidate Mohd Rizwadi Ismail, who is contesting for Perikatan Nasional.

Kelantan State Assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah declared the seat vacant on June 19 after he was informed that its assemblyman Mohd Azizi Abu Naim ceased to be a member of Bersatu on June 13.
