PKB RECORDS GRADUATE MARKETABILITY RATE OF OVER 95 PER CENT SINCE 2020

KOTA BHARU, Kota Bharu Polytechnic (PKB) has recorded a graduate marketability rate of over 95 per cent for the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme for three consecutive years starting from 2020.

Its director, Mohd Fikri Ismail, said that PKB’s graduate marketability rate was 97.2 per cent in 2020, followed by 95 per cent in 2021, and 98.3 per cent in 2022.

He said that this achievement is significant as it places PKB among the top national graduate marketability rates compared to other TVET institutions under the purview of 12 other ministries within the National TVET Council.

‘We hope this success will encourage more students to continue their education at PKB as we strive to increase the number of TVET graduates who will contribute their services to the country,’ he told Bernama at the closing ceremony of the TVET Carnival 2024 @ POLYCC Kelantan Terengganu Zone at PKB.

Mohd Fikri, who is also the chairman of POLYCC Kelantan and Terengganu Zone, said that 900,000 TVET gradua
tes from all polytechnics have been produced over the 55 years since its establishment.

‘In the context of PKB, we aim to enrol 1,600 students for the upcoming intake in July,’ he added.
