Registration for Free Tours to Northeast Cambodia Open

The registration for the free-of-charge tours to northeast Cambodia is now open to 200 people for each tour with the principle of ‘first come, first served.’

The announcement was made this evening by the Ministry of Information as a coordinator of the tours, stressing that the planned trips will be made every Saturday, starting from Sept. 7 until the end of 2024.

Transport, meals and accommodation will be provided free of charge, the source said, adding that the tours will be sponsored by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony as well as the contributions from charitable people without touching neither the state budget nor that of the Border Infrastructure Development Foundation.

According to the announcement, the tours to the northeast Cambodia will be conducted at three locations – first, the border area in Thbong Khmum, Kratie and Mondulkiri provinces (a day-long trip); second, the border area in Kratie and Mondulkiri provinces (an overnight
trip), and third, the border area in Stung Treng and Rattanakiri provinces (an overnight trip).

The registration can be done individually or by group via a QR Code, it underlined, pointing out that there will be a presentation by expert officials of the State Secretariat of Border Affairs for the participants a day prior to the departure.
