SELANGOR MBI INSTILS PATRIOTISM THROUGH CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES

Three schools here received a total of RM50,000 in donations through the Konvoi Merdeka Perpaduan Bangunan Darul Ehsan programme, which took place today.

The donations from the state Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) were delivered by a convoy of 10 vehicles and 60 participants.

Selangor MBI chief executive officer Norita Mohd Sidek said the three selected schools were Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Bandar Anggerik which received RM10,000; Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (RM30,000) and Sekolah Agama Menengah Tinggi Tengku Ampuan Jemaah (RM10,000).

She said the programme, which was held in collaboration with the Selangor Information Department, was also enlivened by several activities, such as the singing of patriotic songs to instill a sense of patriotism in students.

“Investing in the education sector is crucial for Selangor MBI because it can help develop the nation. That’s why we decided to go to these schools and make donations,” she told reporters after flagging off the convoy.

Norita said the convoy, which was also held in conjunction with Selangor MBI’s 29th anniversary, was the largest and involved the participation of the tenants of the Darul Ehsan Building.
