Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China on the party’s 100th founding anniversary (July 1).
The full congratulatory message reads as follows:
“On behalf of the Central Committee of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) and my behalf, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations to Your Excellency, the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Chinese People on this auspicious and joyful celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China.
On this happy occasion, I would like to applaud Your Excellency for earning overwhelming trust and support from the CPC and the Chinese People. Despite being the world’s most populated country with many different ethnicities, under the wise leadership of the CPC, China has achieved greater unity, harmony and prosperity.
May I also take this opportunity to sincerely praise the CPC for her firm commitment and hard work over the last 100 years. The Party has withstood storms and overcome challenges and has ultimately brought about enormous progress and prosperity, changing the course of the country’s history and the people’s destiny. China has become the world second-largest economy and is the first developing country to achieve the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goal on Poverty Eradication earlier than the target schedule set in the UN 2030 Agenda. In addition, the country has achieved impressive scientific and technological breakthroughs and has made significant contribution to global peace, development and prosperity.
I would like to honour the CPC’s people-centered policy as the core approach for all initiatives and political decision-making process. The Party has strived to improve the people’s living standards by achieving poverty eradication and establishing a moderately prosperous society in all respects. In the meantime, the CPC has strongly committed and devoted to build Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.
I have strong confidence in the CPC’s major breakthroughs in systematic, holistic and comprehensive reform, which has promoted high-quality economic growth and provided clear direction to new national development policy.
The Cambodian People’s Party warmly welcomes the CPC’s Path of Peaceful Development and the initiative to Build a Community of Shared Future for Mankind, which has greatly promoted China’s wise diplomacy and influenced the future of international relations. In this respect, China has promoted multilateralism and international cooperation in the fight against COVID-19 and to improve the global governance system through reforms.
I have an unwavering commitment to strengthen and deepen close relations and robust cooperation between the Cambodian People’s Party and the Communist Party of China at all levels.
The Cambodian People’s Party highly appreciates the CPC’s new model of party-to-party relationships through enhancing mutual respect and mutual learning and seeking common ground while shelving differences. It is noteworthy that the Communist Party of China continues to promote mutual understanding and mutual trust among countries, political parties and people to strive for global peace and prosperity. The Belt and Road Initiative has become a new model and platform of win-win cooperation contributing to the attainment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In light of this, China has earned respect and admiration worldwide.
I firmly believe that the CPC will successfully achieve the second centenary goal of ‘building a modern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturally advanced and harmonious’ in 2049.
