Secretary-General of ASEAN H.E. Kao Kim Hourn has extended congratulations to H.E. Neth Pheaktra, newly-appointed Minister of Information of Cambodia.

“I am pleased to convey my warmest congratulations and best wishes on your appointment as the Minister of Information of the Kingdom of Cambodia in the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly,” he wrote in his congratulatory message dated Aug. 29.

“With the information and media landscape in our region undergoing significant digital transformation, it remains pivotal for us to continue advancing ASEAN as a Community of Opportunities for All, especially through fostering greater information accessibility and inclusiveness,” he continued.

H.E. Kao Kim Hourn said he looks forward to working closely with the new Cambodian information minister and with his extensive experience in information and media sector.

“I am positive that ASEAN will continue to make headways in further strengthening and promoting media, information and digital literacy, amongst others, to collectively achieve the ASEAN Community Vision 2025,” underlined the ASEAN secretary-general.
