Cambodian, Thai NAs Discussed Further Cooperation

Cambodia and Thailand have discussed and pledged to continue promoting the cooperation of the two peoples residing along the Cambodia-Thailand borders across all sectors, especially in culture, health, and trade.
The pledge was made in a meeting between Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the National Assembly (NA) of Cambodia and his Thai counterpart H.E. Chuan Leekpai, on the sidelines of the 30th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF-30) in Bangkok, Thailand on Oct. 28.
H.E. Chuan Leekpai informed Samdech Heng Samrin that the Thai National Assembly is paying attention to the relations between the two countries, including the facilitation of Cambodian migrant workers, especially during the spread of COVID-19.
The Thai NA president thanked the Cambodian NA president for his participation in the APPF-30 and confirmed his in-person participation in the ASEAN-AIPA and the 43rd ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) General Assembly in Cambodia in November.
Samdech Heng Samrin spoke highly of the good achievements under the cooperation between the two governments and NAs benefiting the two peoples and nations and significantly contributing to peacebuilding, stability, and development.
He also appreciated Thailand’s hospitality and applauded the Kingdom’s success in hosting the APPF-30.
