H.E. Thong Khon, Minister of Tourism and President of Cambodia Gymnastics Federation (CGF) has given key recommendations to develop Cambodia gymnastics toward the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia.
The CGF president shared the insights when addressing the closing ceremony of Gymnastics National Championship and the 6th President’s Cup 2022 in Phnom Penh on Oct. 27.
Hard training for Cambodian athletes and further capacity development for arbitrators, judges and technical officials will be the key, he said.
He urged the federation to also increase national competitions and allow its gymnasts to join international competitions to build up experience.
Strengthening the management structure of the federation, clubs and associations throughout the country possibly with engagement of development partners will also help.
There remain some 190 days to go for Cambodia to host the SEA Games 2023.
