CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC: Free SEA Games Tickets for Both Cambodians and Foreigners

The SEA Games tickets are free for both Cambodians and foreigners, announced the Cambodian SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Organising Committees (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC) this morning.

The announcement was made following the decision of the cabinet plenary session held here at the Peace Palace this morning under the chairmanship of Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

According to the source, the admission to the opening and closing ceremonies and all sporting events in the 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games hosted by Cambodia are free of charge for the national and international guests.

At the same time, it added, the Royal Government also grants free right to the broadcast of sports information both inside and outside the country.

“We have spent hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars, including grants from our Chinese friend, and many years to organise this event, therefore I will not definitely allow any ticket sales for the opening and closing ceremonies as well as during the competitions,” said Samdech Techo Hun Sen in a special voice message yesterday.

The Premier warned that any groups or any officials who act differently will be responsible to the Prime Minister and the law.

Cambodia is going to host the 32nd SEA Games from May 5 to 17, 2023 and the 12th ASEAN Para Games from June 3 to 9, 2023.

In total, 36 sports and a demonstration sport (teqball) have been listed for the 32nd SEA Games and 13 for the 12th ASEAN Para Games.
