DPM SUN Chanthol: Asian Community Must Work Together, Unite and Build Future Together for Sustainable Development


Asian community must work together, unite, and build future together to ensure sustainable development, said H.E. SUN Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister, and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the two-day Nikkei Forum 29th Future of Asia, in Tokyo of Japan from May 23 to 24.

H.E. SUN Chanthol continued that Asia, with its rich, vibrant economy, and aging culture, stands as a pillar of resilience and adaptive skills based on concerted efforts to provide creative solutions to challenges in the world and strengthen the building of a sustainable and inclusive future.

The CDC vice president further shared the Forum about the active participation of Cambodia in various regional initiatives to enhance peace, economic integration and social solidarity with the emphasis on dialogues, cooperation, and mutual understanding aimed at building a resilient and prosperous Asia.

In the regard, H.E. SUN Chanthol mentioned about the Kingdom’s participation in ASEAN Economic Community
and regional trade pacts with her reaffirmation and joint commitment to leadership with accountability, constructive participation, and joint development of Asia future.
