KUALA LUMPUR, Final preparations are in full swing to ensure the National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2024 launch ceremony on July 21 runs smoothly.

Information Department (JaPen) Media and Corporate Communications Division Assistant Director Mohd Hafiz Shahaini said preparations for the event are progressing as planned.

‘At this moment, all working committees are making their final preparations for the celebration on July 21. All agencies and strategic partners are showing strong commitment, and we expect the event to be conducted well on the day.

‘The main challenge we face is the packed schedule of events, all taking place in one day. The event will feature a launch, a carnival and a community programme.

‘This presents a significant challenge, but with cooperation from our partners and government agencies involved, insya-Allah it will go smoothly,’ he said when appearing as a guest on Bernama TV’s Darah Muda programme titled ‘National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2024 Launch’ tonight.

afiz said this year’s celebration will feature, for the first time, a rhythmic speech performance showcasing the participation of youths from JaPen and the Communications Ministry.

‘This performance will interpret the values of independence and highlight the initiatives the government has undertaken for the people,’ he said.

The National Month and Fly the Jalur Gemilang 2024 launch is scheduled to be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at 2 pm at the Cyber Event Hall in Cyberjaya.
