Francesco Bagnaia Tops MotoGP Qualifiers at Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix.


SEPANG: The 2024 Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit saw an intense showdown during the qualifying sessions, with Francesco Bagnaia of the Ducati Lenovo Team clinching the pole position in the MotoGP category. Bagnaia outperformed his competitors with a time of 1 minute 56.337 seconds.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Jorge Martin from Prima Pramac Racing followed closely, securing the second position with a time of 1:56.553 seconds. Alex Marquez, representing Gresini Racing MotoGP, completed the top three with a time of 1:57.275 seconds. Other notable performances came from Franco Morbidelli, also of Prima Pramac Racing, and Marc Marquez of Gresini Racing MotoGP, who finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

In the Moto2 category, Jorge Navarro of the OnlyFans American Racing Team led the qualifiers with a time of 2:04.412 seconds. Navarro was followed by his teammate Marcos Ramirez, and Celestino Vietti of Red Bull KTM Ajo, who secured the second and third spots, respective
ly.

The Moto3 category saw Adrian Fernandez of Leopard Racing taking the top spot with a time of 2:09.542 seconds, while Ivan Ortola of MT Helmets – MSI and David Alonso of CFMOTO Aspar Team rounded out the top three.

The qualifying sessions showcased the skill and competitiveness of the riders as they geared up for what promises to be an exhilarating race event at the Sepang International Circuit.
