SEREMBAN, National Heritage Figure for the Living Persons Category, Associate Professor Datuk Dr Mohd Rosli Saludin died at Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital (HTAN) here today due to a bacterial infection. He was 62.

His youngest son, Muhammad Hafiz, 26, when contacted, confirmed the matter and said his father’s health condition deteriorated this afternoon.

“My father was weak yesterday evening at home, as soon as I arrived, I immediately took him to a nearby private clinic for a health check-up before being referred to HTAN.

“My father was then admitted in critical condition and around 1 am, he was placed in a normal ward and his condition stabilised, but he became critical again at 3 pm before his passing,” he said.

Muhammad Hafiz said his father had just returned from Indonesia in February and was currently in the process of completing a book on Malay customs in the two countries.

He said his father’s remains would be buried at the Dioh Besar Muslim Cemetery after the Isyak prayer tonight.
