President of the Cambodian Senate, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, received here at the Senate Palace this morning outgoing Resident Representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Cambodia Mr. Asad Yaqub.
In the farewell meeting, Mr. Asad Yaqub expressed his congratulations to Cambodia on the construction of Funan Techo Canal, and extended best wishes to Samdech Techo Hun Sen on his birthday.
The outgoing IFC resident representative lauded the good relations and cooperation between Cambodia and IFC in improving the Cambodian people’s living standard. He also praised Cambodia for her preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, her successful hosting of the SEA Games in 2023 and ASEAN Summits in 2022, her peaceful transfer of power, etc.
For this part, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked Mr. Asad Yaqub for the birthday wishes and briefed him on the significance of Funan Techo Canal for Cambodian economy.
