A Cambodian delegation led by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, is attending the 7th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Sports (AMMS-7) and related meetings in Thailand.
The meetings are organised from Aug. 30 to Sep. 2 in Chiang Mai province.
At the meetings, ASEAN collectively applauded Cambodia for its successful organisation of the 32nd SEA Games.
Back to back with the AMMS-7, there are also the ASEAN-China Ministerial Meeting on Sports and the ASEAN-Japan Ministerial Meeting on Sports.
The meetings focus on the strengthening of cooperation within ASEAN member states and between ASEAN and Japan and China to develop physical education and sports sectors.
The cooperation is fundamental to achieving a healthy society, solidarity, and sustainable economic growth within the region.
