There were 148 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Cambodia this morning, all of Omicron variant, of which 110 were locally transmitted and 38 were imported.
The tally thus jumped to 134,772, including 14,319 Omicron cases (13,120 Omicron community cases).
At the same time, the ministry announced 281 new recoveries and zero new death for two days in a row; the cured cases and death toll therefore stood at 130,688 and 3,049, respectively.
The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
