PUTRAJAYA, The doctrine of Global Ikhwan Service and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd (GISBH) will be discussed during the upcoming sessions of the Muzakarah Committee of the National Council of Islamic Religious Affairs (MKI), from Sept 24 to 26.

Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr Mohd Na’im Mokhtar shared this in a statement, posted on his Facebook page, today.

He also expressed the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) full support for the Royal Malaysia Police’s (PDRM) enforcement actions, which have led to the arrest and prosecution of several GISBH leaders and members, in line with the law.

‘The Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) has provided full cooperation to assist the PDRM in the ongoing investigation. JAKIM has also coordinated with state Islamic religious departments to align enforcement actions,’ he stated.

Yesterday, the Perlis Fatwa Committee declared that GISBH’s teachings contain deviant elements, especially regarding their spirit
ual beliefs.

Perlis Mufti, Datuk Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin, said that GISBH’s beliefs are a continuation of the al-Arqam teachings, which were previously declared deviant.

Meanwhile, Terengganu Mufti Datuk Dr Mohamad Sabri Harun and Kelantan Mufti Datuk Mohamad Shukri Mohamad, both emphasised that the matter should be reviewed by the MKI Muzakarah Committee before any fatwa is issued.
