Xing Yuan Kanng Yeak Co., Ltd., a new gold extraction firm, has started commercial gold extraction operation in its licensed areas in Kratie province, according to the Ministry of Mines and Energy.
The company processed the extraction officially on Oct. 10 in the licensed area of 28 square kilometres in Sambor district, Kratie province.
The official ceremony was held under the presidency of H.E. Suy Sem, Minister of Mines and Energy as well as relevant officials and local authorities.
The firm produced 8,212 grammes of 99.9 percent gold doré, the ministry said.
Xing Yuan Kanng Yeak Co., Ltd. was granted license from the government in August 2018. The firm plans to produce 20 kilogrammes of gold doré per month in the first three months before increasing it to 60 kilogrammes.
Currently, Renaissance Mineral (Cambodia) is on its commercial gold extraction in Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province.
