Cambodia, ROK Sign Six Important Documents

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Korea (ROK) signed in Seoul on May 16 six important documents to further boost their bilateral relations and cooperation.

The cooperation documents were inked between ministers of the two nations under the witness of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and H.E. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of ROK, following their summit meeting.

The signed documents include the Protocol Amending the Framework Arrangement concerning Loans from the Korea Economic Development Co-operation Fund (EDCF) for the years 2022 through 2026, Memorandum of Understanding on Investment Cooperation, Memorandum of Understanding on Reinforced Intellectual Property Cooperation, Letter of Intent to Strengthen Cooperation on Narcotics Control, Memorandum of Understanding on Skilled and Professional Talent Development Programme, and Loan Agreement for the Rural Roads Improvement Project IV.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, during t
he summit meeting, Cambodia and ROK agreed to elevate their bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership and decided to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the political, security and defence cooperation, economic and financial cooperation, socio-cultural and environmental cooperation, development cooperation, regional and international cooperation.

A high-level Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has been on an official visit to ROK from May 15-18, 2024.
