31st SEA Games: Cambodia’s Medal Tally Reaches 63

The total medal earned by Cambodia at the 31st Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Vietnam rose to 63 after getting 6 more on May 22, according to the update from the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).
The new medals – 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze – were won in Kun Khmer, gymnastics, vovinam, swimming, and boxing. The gold medal, the ninth one, was obtained by Kun Khmer athlete, Por Phearith after beating his Vietnamese counterpart, Cao Minh Phat.
The total 63 medals include 9 gold, 13 silver and 41 bronze. Cambodia grabbed gold medals in kickboxing (1), petanque (2), vovinam (3), taekwondo (1), wrestling (1), and Kun Khmer (1).
At the 30th SEA Games in the Philippines in 2019, Cambodia won 4 gold, 6 silver and 36 bronze medals.
The achievement is building more confidence of Cambodian athletes to perform well at the 32nd SEA Games that the country will host next year.
