APSARA National Authority to Install Automatic Water Management Stations at Angkor Site

The APSARA National Authority in collaboration with the SIAVB, France will install automatic water management stations at Angkor site, the authority said in a news release issued on May 22.

At the headquarters of the SIAVB, France, the source pointed out, on May 21, H.E. Dr. HANG Peou, Director General of APSARA National Authority, met with Mr. Jean-Michel Bordes, Director General of SIAVB, and Mr. Jacques Bellier, President of AGERA and technical officers of various institutions of the project “Siem Reap Angkor Water Management Automated Assistance System (SDGERA)” to review the technical work in preparation for six automatic water management stations to be installed at Angkor site in June.

In November 2023, it added, H.E. Dr. PHOEURNG Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of APSARA National Authority, led a delegation to attend a pilot launch of these stations at SIAVB. The test at that time achieved highly efficient results.

SIAVB signed a Decentralised Cooperation Agreement on the Siem Reap Angkor Water Management Automated Assistance System (SDGERA) project on Dec. 16, 2022.
