ASEAN Club Championship 2024-25 to Start in July

The Cambodian football team will join the ASEAN Club Championship 2024-25 which was resumed after many years of postponement, according to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC).

In its press release circulated recently, the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) pointe out that the ASEAN Club Championship 2024-25 will take place from July 17, 2024, to May 21, 2025.

There are 14 participating teams, but only 12 will reach the group stage. Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam and Indonesia have two teams each, while Singapore and the Philippines have one team each.

Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Brunei will compete in playoffs to determine two teams to complete the group stage.

According to the schedule, the qualifying round will be organised on July 17 and 24, 2024, while the group stage with 5 to 6 teams in each group will be held from Aug. 2024 to Feb. 2025.

The semi-final will take place in April 2025 and the final on May 21, 2025.
