ASEAN Supports Sports Proposed by Cambodia for SEA Games 2023

ASEAN member countries have supported all kinds of sports proposed by Cambodia for the 32nd SEA Games in 2023.

The update was shared by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC) in a hybrid meeting of the South East Asian Games Federation Council (SEAGF-Council) hosted by Cambodia in Siem Reap province from April 8 to 10.

The three-day meeting, attended physically by delegates from the host Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, the Philippines and Lao PDR, and via Zoom from Vietnam, Myanmar, Brunei and Timor-Leste, aims to seek additional support, especially to discuss the progress and challenges for Cambodia in hosting the SEA Games.

The meeting will be opened officially on April 10 under the presidency of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, President of CAMSOC.

Cambodia proposes some 40 kinds of sports for the SEA Games 2023.
