Cambodia is preparing a new strategic plan to sustain Cambodia’s sports on international arena.
The note was underlined here in Phnom Penh on May 16by H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian SEA Games Organising Coordinating Committee (CAMSOC), following a press conference on the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand in 2025.
Cambodia needs to continue to be ready for international sports events including Olympic Games, Asian Games, and SEA Games as well as the Asian Youth Games to be hosted by Cambodia in 2029.
So, the country needs a new strategic plan to sustain Cambodia’s sports on international arena, said the secretary general.
Sports sector in Cambodia is developing remarkably and Cambodia grabbed gold medals at the 32nd SEA Games, so the potential needs to be maintained.
He added that Cambodia sports development will focus not only the regional but also the international Olympic levels.
