The commitment was made by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, in a recent congratulatory message to his East Timorese counterpart H.E. “I will continue working closely with Your Excellency to further strengthen and deepen our bilateral ties and cooperation for the mutual benefit of our nations, thus contributing to peace, stability and prosperity in the region and beyond,” the Cambodian Premier added.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen further noted the consistent growth of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations on July 29, 2002.

“Cambodia and Timor-Leste have also worked closely to support each other on matters of common interests at the regional and international frameworks,” he underlined.

For his part, H.E. Taur Matan Ruak said Timor-Leste appreciates the decades-long friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.

“I am committed to building upon our existing bilateral relationship, and to continued collaboration on issues of regional and international importance. I am convinced that the excellent ties of our friendship will continue to prosper in the years ahead,” the East Timorese Prime Minister stressed.
