Cambodia Seeks JICA’s Assistance to Boost Standardised Agricultural Production Process for Export

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) is seeking the assistance of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in promoting standardised agricultural production process for export to Japan.
It was a topic of discussion during a meeting here on Mar. 7 between MAFF Minister H.E. Dith Tina and Ms. KAMEI Haruko, outgoing Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia Office.
According to the MAFF, H.E. Minister welcomed the cooperation between MAFF and JICA so far, especially in agriculture, forestry and fisheries sub-sectors.
For future cooperation, H.E. Dith Tina hoped that JICA will provide coordination so that Cambodian entrepreneurs and farmers have access to low-interest loans to boost the production process of standardised agricultural products for export to Japanese market.
