Cambodia to Complete Hosting of ASEAN Para Games 2023

Cambodia will ensure complete hosting the 12th ASEAN Para Games as the country did for the 32nd SEA Games.

The note was underlined by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence Samdech Pichey Sena Tea Banh, President of the Cambodian SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Organising Committees (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC) when chairing a meeting at Morodok Techo National Stadium here in Phnom Penh on May 26.

There will be stunning events both for the opening and closing ceremonies of the ASEAN Para Games 2023, said Samdech Tea Banh, adding that Cambodia will organise the games in full compliance with all necessary requirements.

The host country will also offer free entry for all spectators, free accommodation and food for sports delegates and free broadcasting rights for media partners, pointed out the CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC president.

Cambodia will do its outmost to host the games to demonstrate to the world Cambodia’s peace and development.

Some 2,600 sports delegates and athletes including 1,400 athletes from 11 participating countries will join the games to take place from June 3 to 9, 2023 at Morodok Techo National Stadium, National Olympic Stadium and other courts in Phnom Penh capital.

A total of 14 types of sports listed for the 12th ASEAN Para Games including Athletics, Badminton, Boccia, Chess, 5-a-side Football, 7-a-side Football, Judo, Weightlifting, Swimming, Men’s and Women’s Table Tennis, Men’s and Women’s Sitting Volleyball, Men’s and Women’s Wheelchair Basketball, and E-sports (Demonstration).
