Cambodia, Turkey to Promote Economic Cooperation

Cambodia and Turkey have pledged to further strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
The commitment was made in a meeting between a Cambodian Economic Diplomacy Coordinating Team (CEDCT) led by H.E. Prak Phalla, Advisor to the Prime Minister and H.E. San Chanrithy, Member of CEDCT and High Representative of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and the delegation of Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) of Turkey here in Phnom Penh on Tuesday.
The meeting was aimed to pave the way for Turkish investors and businessmen to explore investment opportunities in Cambodia in areas such as culture, tourism and trade.
The Cambodian sides informed the Turkish counterpart about the country’s investment potentials along with more favourable investment law and legal support as well as broader market access.
They also underlined the government’s strategies to encourage more investors and visitors to the country through bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements and the tourism recovery framework, especially the country’s reopening for COVID-19 vaccinated travellers.
