Cambodian King Commends Government’s Policy on National Independence Day

Phnom Penh – His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has expressed commendation for the Royal Government of Cambodia’s policy in fostering peace, unity, and international prestige. This praise came during his speech at a mass meeting in Phnom Penh to mark the 70th National Independence Day and the 70th Founding Anniversary of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF).

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, in his address, the monarch lauded Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet for implementing the first phase of the Pentagonal Strategy. This strategy aligns with the political legacy of former Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and has been instrumental in achieving national solidarity and elevating Cambodia’s standing on the global stage.

His Majesty underscored the positive outcomes resulting from the nation’s efforts in building and defending the homeland, citing the harmony among Cambodian compatriots as a key factor. The King emphasized the significant prospects for Cambodia’s future, stressing the importance of the constitution in maintaining national unity.

The celebration of the 70th anniversary of National Independence Day and the RCAF’s founding was highlighted as a significant national event. It not only commemorates the achievements but also honors the late King-Father, Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh’s devotion to Cambodia’s development and peace.

His Majesty called on all Cambodians to unite under the constitution and state law, contributing to the nation’s protection and development across various fields.
