Cambodian Lawmaker Awarded with Japan’s 2021 Spring Conferment of Decoration

H.E. Chheang Vun, a Member of the National Assembly of Cambodia, was awarded with the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star from the Government of Japan.
The conferment ceremony took place under the presidency of Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Mikami Masahiro on Mar. 29 at his residence, according to the Embassy of Japan.
H.E. Chheang Vun, also Chairman of Cambodia-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group, was recognised by his long-time contribution to strengthening relations between Japan and Cambodia and promoting exchanges between members of parliaments, said H.E. Mikami Masahiro.
H.E. Ambassador congratulated H.E. Chheang Vun with his family, friends and colleagues on receiving the decoration.
The award is bestowed upon individuals of merit in recognition of their national or public services, and in honour of their distinguished accomplishments in various areas in society.
