Cambodian PM Holds Talks with Singaporean Counterpart on COVID-19 and Myanmar Crisis

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, this afternoon held an online talk with his Singaporean counterpart H.E. Lee Hsien Loong on the COVID-19 pandemic and Myanmar crisis.
According to H.E. Kao Kim Hourn, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister, the two leaders exchanged views on the COVID-19 situation, particularly in Cambodia and Singapore.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen briefed H.E. Lee Hsien Loong on the objectives and outcomes of his recent visit to Myanmar, stressing his intention, as the ASEAN Chair this year, for an immediate ceasefire and cessation of violence, and the provision of humanitarian assistance to the people who are most in need of help, as well as for constructive dialogue, in addition to the bilateral cooperation between Cambodia and Myanmar.
In reply, H.E. Lee Hsien Loong spoke highly of the efforts of Cambodia in contributing to addressing the crisis in Myanmar, and supported the role of the special envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar.
Both Samdech Techo Hun Sen and H.E. Lee Hsien Loong agreed to allow the ASEAN foreign ministers to have a meeting and discuss next work, especially that of the special envoy to assist Myanmar in resolving its crisis.
