AKP Phnom Penh, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, received here at the Peace Palace this morning visiting Mr. Andres Pastrana, President of the Centrist Democrat International (CDI).
According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to the Cambodian Premier, in the courtesy meeting, Mr. Andres Pastrana said he is honoured to be an observer of the Commune/Sangkat Council Election in Cambodia this year.
This is the third time for him as an election observer in Cambodia. The first time was in 2017 and the second in 2018.
The CDI president wished success to Cambodia’s Commune/Sangkat Council Election to be held tomorrow.
In reply, Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked Mr. Andres Pastrana for leading a delegation to observe the local election in Cambodia.
The Prime Minister laid stress on the successful COVID-19 vaccination campaign leading to the country’s full reopening as well as the organisation of the local election.
Cambodia is going to hold the 5th Mandate Commune/Sangkat Council Election on Sunday, June 5, 2022. 17 registered political parties will compete for the 1,652 communes/Sangkat across the country.
