Climate Resilient Smallholder Agriculture Project (CRSA) Discussed

The inception of a Climate Resilient Smallholder Agriculture Project (CRSA) has been discussed to ensure its cost-effective results.
The discussion took place early this week between H.E. Chhea Bunrith, Director General of Technical Affairs of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology and the representatives from CRRITAS and HEKS/EPER responsible for the project.
The nine-year (2022-2030) project of CRSA is initiated under the Swiss government’s grant worth 8.2 million Swiss franc.
Implemented through a collaboration of the Ministries of Water Resources and Meteorology; and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the project is expected to benefit to 150,000 people vulnerable to the natural disasters.
It will be carried out in Cambodia’s four provinces: Battambang, Banteay Meanchey, Oddar Meanchey, and Preah Vihear or Stung Treng.
The project will focus on improvement of water governance, promotion of successful model in economy, and establishment of legal documents and research procedures.
