Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have signed the technical notes of the preliminary survey on constructions of the Technical Institute of Mine Action in Kampong Chhnang province and the outreach facilities in Siem Reap province.
The signing ceremony took place here at the CMAC’s headquarters late last week, and Director General of CMAC H.E. Heng Ratana and JICA’s consultant team leader were the signatories.
H.E. Heng Ratana expressed his gratitude to the JICA’s team for their devotion and assistance in particular in this critical period of COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the CMAC, the purpose of this construction project is to strengthen the capacity of CMAC with technical capacity and equipment to support training activities for both national and international levels and to become a Centre of Excellence in mine action.
