COVID-19: Zero New Case in Cambodia for 9 Days in a Row

There is no registered new case of COVID-19 in Cambodia for nine consecutive days; the tally thus remains at 136,262, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning.

Of the tally, 21,219 are imported cases while 14,459 are locally transmitted Omicron cases, the source pointed out.

Meanwhile, the ministry announced the recovery of three new patients; bringing the total cured cases in the Kingdom to 133,197, while the death toll remains at 3,056.

Despite the success, Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen has repeatedly appealed to his compatriots to stick to the health preventive measures and to get vaccinated.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
