The footwear and travel goods factories are in need of labour force to drive production chains, as orders have been placed, said Cambodia Travel Goods and Leather Association.
The remarks were made by a delegation of the Cambodia Travel Goods and Leather Association in a courtesy meeting with H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of Labour and Vocational Training at the ministry on Jan. 6.
In the meeting, Mr. Lim Tong, the association’s President, said that some of the current member factories are short of labour force for their operations.
The association is thus seeking more cooperation from the ministry to recruit more labour forcers to work in the factories’ production chain, he added.
For his part, H.E. Ith Samheng asked the association to work with the National Employment Agency on the job promotion and recruitment to fill in the lack in the production chain.
