National Institute of Diplomacy and International Relations (NIDIR), in cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) organised here last week the second “JICA Chair” special lecture.
The event was presided over by Mr. Svay Narin, Acting President of NIDIR and Ms. KAMEI Haruko, Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia Office.
Dr. Akio TAKAHARA, Executive Director, JICA Ogata Sadako Research Institute presented “Japan after World War II and Japan-China relations in the Modern Era”.
According to JICA, while currently leading the JICA Institute with various research projects, Dr. TAKAHARA serves as Professor at the University of Tokyo and he has been an internationally well-known scholar on diplomacy and international relations.
In JICA Chair Programme, Read Japan Book (Funded by Nippon Foundation and Recommendation by the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia) were also donated to NIDIR.
JICA Chair lecture is one of the events to celebrate the friendship between Cambodia and Japan which will turn 70 years in 2023.
