Putrajaya – The Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) honored the country’s takaful industry players for their exceptional achievements at the inaugural Takaful Star Awards 2023 (TSA 2023) held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre. MTA chief executive officer Mohd Radzuan Mohamed expressed the awards were designed to acknowledge the efforts of takaful managers and agents in raising public awareness about the importance of takaful for personal, family, and community protection.
According to BARNAMA News Agency, During the event, FWD Takaful Berhad received the award in the Direct Distribution Channel-Family category, while Etiqa General Takaful Berhad and AIA PUBLIC Takaful Bhd won the Best Takaful Operator General Takaful Business award and Best Takaful Operator Quality Business award, respectively. Mohd Radzuan highlighted that TSA 2023 was part of the Takaful Leaders and Agents Summit 2023 (TLAS 2023), an effort to strengthen the industry in alignment with Bank Negara’s goal for the industry to contribute five percent growth to the country’s Gross Domestic Product, as outlined in the Financial Sector Blueprint 2022-2026.
Family Takaful Distribution Channel chairman Shahrul Azlan Shahriman emphasized that TLAS 2023 encouraged participants to explore new opportunities and strive for excellence. The summit discussed future leadership shaping and contributing to society, ensuring a sustainable future for the takaful industry. The “Beyond All Limit” slogan of TLAS 2023 reflects MTA’s commitment to assessing the commitment of industry players and outlining their potential. The event, attended by 700 participants, included sessions like CEO Power Talk, motivational talks, Million Dollar Round Table sharing, and brought together Takaful operators’ top management and Islamic financial industry experts in Malaysia.
The Takaful Star Awards 2023 and TLAS 2023 represent significant milestones in recognizing and propelling the growth of Malaysia’s takaful industry, aligning with broader national economic objectives.
