Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of the Cambodian National Assembly (NA), has encouraged the friendship associations of Cambodia and Vietnam to strengthen and expand their activities and cooperation.
While receiving visiting H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh, President of Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association at the NA Palace here this morning, Samdech Heng Samrin spoke highly of the key role of both countries’ friendship associations in deepening the relationship between the two nations and encouraged them to extend their activities to the fields of economy, trade, education and science in addition to social and humanitarian activities.
Both Samdech Heng Samrin and H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh appreciated the development in each other’s country and their successful efforts in controlling the COVID-19 spread.
Following on the same day, H.E. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh also paid a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
