National Career and Productivity Fair 2022 in late October is expected to offer over 20,000 job openings for youths and job seekers.
The good news was shared in a press conference here yesterday on the career fair organised at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC).
Speaking at the press conference, H.E. Hay Hunleng, Director of the National Employment Agency at the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, underlined that the fair is a major annual event and this year it will bring together some 150 employers with job vacancies of different positions for various knowledge, skill set and experience.
Leading sectors joining the career fair include banking, microfinance and insurance, wholesale and retail services, tourism and hospitality, food and beverage, real estate, and industry and manufacturing, he added.
Deputy Secretary General for the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC) Mr. Kaing Monika, noted that thanks to such career fair and good labour market in the country, Cambodia’s unemployment rate is low.
He recommended job hunters especially youth to consider vocation related openings which can build help them become entrepreneurs in the future.
According to Mr. Som Monorom, Secretary General of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) in Phnom Penh, the job opportunities are not only for Cambodia but also other countries, including Thailand.
The two-day National Career and Productivity Fair 2022 will fall on Oct. 28-29 and also feature interesting workshop on digital workforce, skills and productivity.
