Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has called on the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training to speed up the settlement of labour disputes between employees and employers.
While presiding over here this morning the graduation ceremony of 623 students of the University of Puthisastra, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the Minister of Labour and Vocational Training has to expedite the settlement of labour disputes between factory owners and workers as soon as possible.
The Prime Minister said the ministry can borrow the government’s budget to pay the wages of workers when the factory is shut down and can settle the payments with the employers later.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen made the comments after there was a group of workers coming to his office seeking for the Premier’s intervention in their labour dispute after submitting their petition to the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training for a few months ago.
