PM Hun Sen Praises Fruitful Mission of Outgoing Turkish Ambassador

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has spoken highly of the active and fruitful diplomatic mission of H.E. Ms. Ayda Ünlü, outgoing Ambassador of Turkey to Cambodia.

The Premier made the appreciation during the farewell meeting with the outgoing ambassador at the Peace Palace, Phnom Penh this morning, according to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Assistant to Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister underlined that H.E. Ms. Ayda Ünlü’s mission has actively contributed to strengthening and expanding the relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially to the success of his historical visit to Turkey and the creation of other foundations for the expansion of bilateral economic ties.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen thanked the Turkish government for its assistance to Cambodia and wished the outgoing ambassador more success in her next missions.

H.E. Ms. Ayda Ünlü pledged to continue to further deepen the relationship between Cambodia and Turkey even though her diplomatic term in the Kingdom comes to an end.

A high decoration of the Royal Government of Cambodia was conferred upon H.E. Ms. Ayda Ünlü on the occasion in recognition of her significant contribution to fostering both nations’ bond.

Cambodia and Turkey established their diplomatic ties in 1959. Turkish Embassy in Phnom Penh was opened in 2013 while the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Ankara was officially inaugurated on Feb. 27, 2022.
