Productive First Day of 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games Press Conference

CAMSOC and the Ministry of Information smoothly concluded the first of its two-day press conference, noticeably with unification of the press to cover the 2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games and acceleration of the sale of the games broadcasting rights.

H.E. Vath Chamroeun, Secretary General of the Cambodian SEA Games Organising Committee (CAMSOC) shared the update on the first day of the official press conference on Mar. 16 at Sokha Hotel, Phnom Penh.

The press conference officially announced partner domestic, regional and international media outlets to cover the games and shared with them the latest progress of the games preparation.

Considering them ‘2023 SEA Games-ASEAN Para Games press family’, he added, CAMSOC called on their strong support to well capture and report both about the games and Cambodia’s news worthy economy, culture and tourism potentials.

According to the secretary general, the sale of the games broadcasting rights has reached about 50 percent, with four buyers by TV stations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.

He was positive that CAMSOC will complete the sale of the broadcasting rights shortly after the official press conference.

Domestically, the Cambodia Sports Television (CSTV) owns the broadcasting rights in collaboration with the General Department of National Television of Cambodia (TVK) which will relay the coverage of the games to other TV stations in Cambodia free of charge.
