SPM Hun Sen Expects ASEAN Member Countries to Bid for Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup in the Future

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has expressed his strong expectation that all ASEAN member countries would be able to bid to host the Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup in the future.

The Cambodian Premier shared the optimism while he and his spouse Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen were presiding over the Official Opening Ceremony of the 12th ASEAN Para Games (APG) under the motto of “Sport: Live in Peace”, at Morodok Techo National Stadium in Khan Chroy Changvar, Phnom Penh, this evening.

In this regard, Samdech Techo Hun Sen hoped that all ASEAN member countries would have a strong football team for the world competitions in the framework of our ASEAN region.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister continued that Cambodia has just hosted the historic and solemn 32nd SEA Games last month, and now the 12th APG is being held in contribution to enhancing the rights and freedom of persons with disabilities, and giving opportunities for all para athletes to show off their capabilities and talent in this big regional para games.

Taking the opportunity, Samdech Techo Hun Sen once again called on everyone to promote the rights of persons with disabilities and to take part in supporting all para athletes.
