Strategic Partnership Cooperation to Improve Cambodia’s Educational Standard

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and Cellcard have signed a strategic cooperative partnership to boost Cambodia’s digital education.

The partnership was inked by H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports and Neak Oknha Kit Meng, Director General of Royal Group here in Phnom Penh on Aug. 9.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron welcomed the new partnership with Cellcard underlining increasing investment of private sector to promote education sector in Cambodia.

Strengthening digital skills for Cambodian teachers, education staff and youth is key to develop skilled human resources in the 21st century to support digital transformation in Cambodia, emphasised the minister.

This cooperation will support the use of digital technology in all levels of education system to enhance quality education for Cambodian children and youths, he added.

Neak Oknha Kit Meng expressed his delight to contribute to the government’s effort in mainstreaming digital education, including through STEPCam, BEEP and FLP.

Mr. Simon Perkins, Executive Director of Cellcard was positive that the cooperation will contribute significantly to digital education in Cambodia and improve people’s living condition and the national economic growth.
