Subang Parade Mall Flood Managed Without Injuries, Says Management

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The Subang Parade Shopping Centre in Subang Jaya experienced a flash flood today at its lower ground floor. Fortunately, no injuries or untoward incidents were reported from the incident.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Hektar Property Services Sdn Bhd, the mall’s building management company, issued a statement tonight confirming that they are actively working to rectify the situation and ensure the safety of shoppers and visitors. The company emphasized that their team is following necessary protocols and standard operating procedures to manage the adverse situation.

The statement also conveyed an apology for the inconvenience caused to visitors and assured that efforts are being made to restore Subang Parade to its usual state of vibrancy and hospitality.

Meanwhile, Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar, the Deputy Director of the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department, reported that a distress call was received at 8.39 pm. He noted that the basement level of the shopping center was affected, with an electrical shop in particular being impacted, before the floodwaters began receding.
