Thai Foreign Minister Visits Cambodia and Co-Chair 11th JC Meeting This Week

H.E. Don Pramudwinai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, will pay an official visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia and co-chair with his Cambodian counterpart H.E. Prak Sokhonn, the 11th Meeting of the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (11th JC Meeting) between Cambodia and Thailand from Dec. 16-18 in Phnom Penh.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation made public this morning, during the official visit, H.E. Don Pramudwinai will pay a courtesy call on Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and hold a bilateral talk with H.E. Prak Sokhonn on bilateral ties and exchange views on the current regional and international issues of common concerns as well as the role of Cambodia as the Chair of ASEAN in 2022.
For the 11th JC Meeting, it pointed out, under the theme “Peace, Prosperity, Recovery Together”, Cambodia and Thailand will review the progress of the implementation of the Record of Discussion of the 10th JC Meeting in 2016 and discuss various aspects of cooperation between the two countries in bilateral and multilateral frameworks in order to further strengthen and advance the close and comprehensive cooperation between the two Kingdoms for the speedy economic recovery from the COVID-19 crisis.
At the end of 11th JC Meeting, both Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers of Foreign Affairs will hold a symbolic handover ceremony of the RT-PCR laboratory equipment package with SARS-CoV-2 test kits from the Royal Thai Government to the Poipet Referral Hospital and the Mongkol Borey Hospital of Banteay Meanchey province, followed by a Joint Press Conference, concluded the press release.
