The Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) has promoted the electric vehicle charging station investment opportunity to foreign investors.
In a meeting here on Jan. 25 with Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, led by its President Mr. Zhang Hailong, accompanied by representatives of two Chinese firms – CACS and GCC, H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister, Minister of Public Works and Transport, asked the Chinese companies to consider investing in infrastructure development for the operation of electric vehicle taxi charging stations in Phnom Penh.
H.E. Senior Minister further encouraged the companies to consider investing in EV battery disposal.
Besides infrastructure development for EV charging stations, the meeting also touched on technical training for the sector to promote the use of EVs in Cambodia.
