U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Visits Cambodia This Week

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs H.E. Daniel J. Kritenbrink is travelling to Cambodia and Japan from July 11 to 15, said a news release of the U.S. Department of State’s Office of the Spokesperson.

In Phnom Penh, it pointed out, Assistant Secretary H.E. Daniel J. Kritenbrink will meet with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn and other senior officials to discuss bilateral relations, U.S. support for Cambodia as ASEAN Chair, and regional and global issues.  

The Assistant Secretary will also engage with youth and civil society leaders, the source added.

H.E. Daniel J. Kritenbrink previously planned to visit Cambodia in early May, but the travel was postponed after he was tested positive for COVID-19.
