The public is invited to join the two-day Technology, Education and Career (TEC) fair held at the Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) campus in Seri Iskandar, Perak starting today.
In a statement, UTP said this annual event has served as a platform for students from all over Malaysia to explore internship and career opportunities while gaining exposure to local and multinational companies.
“Organised by UTP students with the support from the UTP Student Affairs Division, TEC23 is dedicated to forging connections with a multitude of prominent companies.
“This effort has led to the successful organisation of virtual employer talks, campus interviews, career boot camps and industrial visits, providing students with invaluable insights and exposure to a wide spectrum of job opportunities,” it said.
Themed “Unveiling Hidden Talents”, TEC23 aims to create an ideal environment for the next generation of graduates to engage and connect with corporate leaders and industry professionals.
According to the statement, TEC23 features 60 booths that showcase a broad spectrum of job opportunities, making it an invaluable experience for students from diverse academic backgrounds, including engineering, geoscience, information technology, business, applied sciences and more.
Among the notable exhibitors are industry giants such as Petronas, ExxonMobil Malaysia, SLB, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad.
The statement said there will be an Exhibitor Showcase, Career Talk sessions, Campus Interviews by hiring companies, complimentary career advice sessions, resume reviews, mock interviews and LinkedIn profile reviews provided by esteemed career partners.
“In addition to exploring job opportunities, attendees will have the unique opportunity to interact with potential employers that may lead to immediate job or internship offers. Attendees are encouraged to bring their CVs (curricula vitae) or resume to make the most of this exceptional opportunity.
“For those interested in attending, walk-in registration will be available on-site during the career fair and admission is free,” it added.
